At Premium Containers PTY LTD, we supply new, used, refrigerated, and converted shipping containers to businesses, organisations, and individuals. We arrange container delivery according to the product purchased, the delivery location, site conditions, and the availability of suitable transport.
1. Delivery Areas
Premium Containers operates from Gqeberha, Eastern Cape, South Africa, and provides container supply and delivery solutions within South Africa and, where commercially and logistically possible, to other African destinations.
Availability of delivery to a particular location depends on:
The type and size of container ordered
The destination
Road access to the delivery site
Availability of suitable transport
Local transport and regulatory requirements
Site conditions and unloading requirements
Please contact us before placing an order if you require delivery outside South Africa.
2. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges may vary depending on the container, quantity ordered, destination, distance, transport requirements, and site conditions.
Unless specifically stated otherwise on a product page or quotation, delivery charges are not automatically assumed to be included in the displayed product price.
Where applicable, the delivery cost will be communicated to the customer before the order is confirmed.
For multiple-container, commercial, or long-distance orders, customers may request a delivery quotation.
3. Delivery Times
Estimated delivery times depend on:
Product availability
Order confirmation
Payment confirmation
Delivery destination
Transport availability
Weather and road conditions
Any required permits or logistical arrangements
Any delivery timeframe provided by Premium Containers is an estimate and not an unconditional guarantee of delivery on a particular date.
We will make reasonable efforts to keep customers informed of significant delivery delays.
4. Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete delivery information, including:
Full delivery address
Contact person’s name
Telephone number
Any relevant access instructions
Information regarding restricted roads or access
Any site-specific delivery requirements
Additional costs or delays caused by incorrect or incomplete delivery information may be the customer’s responsibility.
5. Site Access and Preparation
Before delivery, customers must ensure that the delivery location is suitable for the container and transport vehicle.
The customer is responsible for ensuring that:
There is sufficient access for the delivery vehicle;
Roads and entrances can accommodate the required vehicle;
There is sufficient space for positioning the container;
The ground is reasonably suitable for the container;
Any required permissions have been obtained; and
Any obstacles that could prevent safe delivery have been removed.
Premium Containers may request photographs, measurements, location details, or other information to assess delivery feasibility.
6. Unloading and Positioning
The method used to deliver and position a container depends on the container type, transport vehicle, destination, and site conditions.
Customers should advise us in advance of any special positioning requirements.
Where specialised lifting equipment or additional services are required, these may incur additional charges and will be discussed with the customer before delivery where reasonably possible.
7. Failed or Delayed Delivery
A delivery may be delayed or unable to be completed if:
The delivery site is inaccessible;
The customer or authorised representative is unavailable;
The site is unsafe;
The delivery vehicle cannot safely access the property;
The customer has provided incorrect delivery information;
Required permissions have not been obtained; or
Circumstances outside our reasonable control prevent delivery.
Additional transportation, waiting, redelivery, or other reasonable costs resulting from circumstances attributable to the customer may be charged where applicable.
8. Inspection Upon Delivery
Customers should inspect the container as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.
If there is visible transport damage, incorrect goods, or another obvious delivery issue, the customer should notify Premium Containers promptly and provide photographs and relevant details.
Customers should retain photographs and other evidence relating to any delivery issue until the matter has been resolved.
